Day Two

Today has been one of those days where you are busy but in a good busy way. It's hard to explain.

Wake up time for me is supposed to be 7:00 but today I slept in till 7:40. Lucy did too which was nice. We talked to James. He wants to come home so badly but he is tron with saving as much as we can before he comes home. I made a pact to save $4,000 for a car of my choice by December. I know I can do it, I just have to give up mindless shopping for 4 months. That's okay, right? I don't need anything really. I have enough clothes, I got a library card so I can rent books, and I have found places to have free entertainment. I can save its just so hard, especially with James gone. Shopping is my only outlet for stress relief and boredom. I have to find other things to keep me from being bored. The good news is I have trimmed starbucks down to one-two times a week, which is good for me.

We had a wonderful time at Kate's pool. Emily and Lucy are so cute together. It's good for Lucy to learn how to share and you can't take something out of someone else's hands. Poor Lucy, she got bite by ants yesterday at the park and she is blistering bad on her feet and arm. I feel so bad for her because she keeps scratching. I keep putting bendandryl on it but the bites will have to heal on their own.

Only 3/4 months to go till James comes home. It has been a very busy year which has made the separation gone by fast. Thank God! He just needs to find a job here and bam...on to another part of our life. It will be nice to be a normal family again with dinner together, watching tv, and just hanging out together.

Alright, i'm making the plunge into the blogging world. I'm not much of a diary/journal writer but maybe writing on a copmputer will keep me motivated to write about the happenings in my life.

A little background first: Ahem....I am 23 years old, that's right. I'm not in high school, not in college, I am a 23 year old. I may look young (and I am reminded of that daily) but I think I am mature for my age. I graduated with honors and a 3.0 from Baylor University in May 2008. I had Lucy April 24, 2008. I married James July 7, 2007. Yes my 2007/2008 year was quite busy but it was all worth it.

Now I am a week from paying off all of James' debt...that's almost $90,000 gone it about a year and a half. James lives in Iraq to work as a forensic scientist and hopefully will be home the end of this year. He needs a job here to come home too.

I am a youth minister for the middle school at my parish and working on law school applications (which is what I should do right now but instead I'm writing a blog). I am looking at Texas schools mostly for law school. I love my job, even with the recent news that Lucy is not allowed to come with me to the office. But, that's okay because I get to spend more time at home and still get paid.
